73 low-wage immigrant workers died at Windows on the World, the restaurant at the top of the World Trade Center, Tower 1 on September 11th, 2001, and about 300 workers lost their jobs in that restaurant. Out of this tragedy, ROC was born. This September 11th we commemorated ten years of building a restaurant worker movement as a legacy for our fallen brothers and sisters of Windows on the World.
