WHAT IS HAPPENING

Imagine being monitored every second of your workday. Every move tracked, every action analyzed, your performance measured down to the last detail – this is the reality for many restaurant workers today. The rise of automated worker surveillance systems has turned workplaces into arenas of relentless scrutiny. Though proponents argue they increase efficiency, it’s clear that constant surveillance negatively impacts workers’ morale, dignity, and privacy rights.

The Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) has opened the floor to public comments on this critical issue. This is our chance to reshape the narrative, to make a stand for the rights and well-being of restaurant workers, and to say loud and clear: #StopTheSurveillance.

HOW YOU CAN HELP

  1. Share your story: If you’re a restaurant worker, your story is powerful. Share it! Let the OSTP hear first-hand how surveillance systems are affecting you. You don’t have to answer every question – even one is enough.

  2. Spread the word: Use your social media platforms to talk about this issue. The more people know about this, the more likely they are to act. Use our campaign hashtag, #StopTheSurveillance.

  3. Engage your community: Encourage your friends, colleagues, and family members to join the conversation. Remember, we’re stronger together.

  4. Submit a comment to OSTP: It’s easy, it’s impactful, and it’s your chance to affect real change. Submit your comment below.
