As the COVID-19 Pandemic continues to surge, DC residents are still facing unemployment, financial instability and housing insecurity. Although the state of emergency continues to be extended, the eviction moratorium that comes with it is simply delaying the impending housing crisis. Rental assistance programs have also proven to be insufficient and inaccessible to so many residents. We need strong and decisive action from Mayor Bowser and the DC Council through the cancelation of rent for DC residents.
