ROC THE BAY – CHOW ORGANIZER
The Restaurant Opportunities Center of the Bay Area (ROC-The Bay) is an affiliate worker center of ROC-United that was founded in 2013 in Oakland, California. We have over 300 worker members and dozens of restaurant employers throughout the Bay Area. Our mission is to promote and ensure a just and dignified workplace in restaurants throughout the Bay Area and to build a strong and unified community of restaurant workers. We operate the COLORS Hospitality Opportunity for Workers (CHOW) job training program that trains over 125 low-income workers.
ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, INSTITUTIONAL GIVING
The Associate Director (AD) reports to the Chief Development Officer (CDO) and collaborates closely with local chapter leads and colleagues across the organization. Reporting to the Chief Development Officer, the Associate Director will develop and implement an annual plan for reaching dollar and donor goals. They will also collaborate with colleagues on the development team and across the organization to advance ROC’s mission.
The Communications Strategist (Strategist) develops, designs and executes communications strategies that advance ROC United’s work on living wages, safe and better working conditions, and racial and gender equality issues for low-wage restaurant workers nationwide.
