The New Orleans Exhibition Hall Authority has over $600 million in assets, mostly from taxes that come from the hospitality industry (hotel and food & beverage taxes) . Almost $200 million is being reserved as a cushion; however, hospitality workers have needed relief since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic. We believe that this money could be best used to support and sustain these workers.

Along with over 40 members, ROC NOLA and the Coalition to Create a Fair Fund for Hospitality Workers are calling for $100 million of that fund to go towards a relief fund that goes to those workers who have been directly affected.
