Jackson’s main water treatment plant has failed and left nearly 180,000 residents—including restaurant workers and their families—in the city and surrounding areas with little to no clean water. 

As a result, restaurant businesses in the area have been forced to shut down. And with no time to prepare, their workers have abruptly lost their jobs.
